If I could change one thing in my life what would it be? I would change how much TV I watched and video games i played as a kid. Thanks to that, I now have glasses. I am not saying that glasses are the worst thing in the world, but it is not the best. When I do something like play basketball and I get hit by mistake, my glasses might fall off. Honestly, I do not think that not having them would have a huge effect in others around me. I think that the only difference it would have would be people would judge me differently if they did not know me. What I mean is that with glasses, people think that I am smart and do not like to do anything, but read and study. However, I do not how they would judge me if I did not have glasses. It would not really be a big deal, or have a major effect on my life.

Who I Value
One person that I really value is my older brother. He is always there for me and never lets me down. Do not think that I am saying that we never argue and that we are always getting along. I can not tell you that because then I would be lying. As brothers, we have our up and we have our downs. No one is perfect. My brother always gives me advice on things and situations that he has gone through. He is really helpful with school to. He always helps me out with homework and studying. Since he is a year older, he has had some of the same work that I have, so it is an advantage. I try to be like him when he is setting a good example. So basically, he has some influence on me. In conclusion, he is very important to me and I do not know where I would be without him.

Best Summer Experience
What was my summer like? Was my summer fun filled with things to do? No it actually was not. Most of my summer was either spent inside, or playing basketball. Although this may not sound very fun, the best time of summer came at the end of it. I went to Cedar Point and had a lot of fun. It was my first time going there since I was about eight years old. There were a lot more people there than I expected. Basically, I was really excited to go. Some of the lines were really long too! The craziest ride I rode was the Power Tower because the ride went so high up and you did not know when it was going to drop. When it did drop, it was crazy because it came down so fast. The ride I went on that had the longest line, was the Corckscrew. It was not the greatest ride, but it was okay. Thunder Canyon was a really good ride to because people would get wet during it. Overall, because of that fun and exciting trip, I had an okay summer.

My Name
My name is Abdul. Who was I named after? What language does it come from? Do I like my name? Is my name common around here? No it is not, at least not here. Abdul is a very common name in Arab countries in the Middle East. To show how common my name is, I would say it is like once in a blue moon that you will hear it here.I like to believe that my name is unique I haven't met many other people that have Abdul as their first name. Do I like it? I like my name because it is actually not very common. I hardly have ever had someone in the same class, or school with the same first name. What language does it come from? Abdul comes from the Arabic language. Who was I named after? I was named after my uncle. Is my name common around here? No it is not, at least not here. Abdul is a very common name in Arab countries in the Middle East. To show how common my name is, I would say it is like once in a blue moon that you will hear it here. What does Abdul really even mean? In the English language, Abdul translates to servant. However, the name does not have any specific history in my family. It was my great grand father's, then my uncle's, and now mines. In conclusion, I appreciate my name and am glad it is mine.

My Number One Rule
Everyone has his/her own individual rules which are followed in their daily lives. My number one rule is to always have the confidence to achieve anything Confidence is one key needed to be successful. Helen Keller once said, "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence." What this quote is saying is that confidence is a requirement to achieve success. If someone were to have something such as an exam, or important interview coming up, but had no confidence, it would not go as planned. For example, if that person had a great deal of material prepared for that interview, or have studied a lot for that exam, but do not have that optimism, they would really struggle. I myself sometimes over prepare and stress out for important things. When that time comes, I struggle because I keep thinking to myself that I will not do well. No one should ever put themselves down and say to themselves, "I can not do it no matter what" because anyone can and we just need that one important key, confidence.
